A Startup Center for Everyone
Construction has been underway again on the Clausthal University of Technology campus since June 2021. By mid-2022, a startup center is set to open at Agricolastraße 8, where you—students, alumni, and research staff at Clausthal University of Technology—can develop and bring your startup ideas to life in an inspiring environment, while receiving professional and comprehensive support. Anyone walking around the Clausthal University of Technology campus can already see the initial progress of construction. A wide range of services to support business startups at every stage
At the Startup Center (virtual tour of the Startup Center), you can develop, implement, and test your startup ideas and projects—either on your own or as a team—in private offices or at one of the ten coworking stations. In addition, workshops and halls are available for conducting product tests, developing and testing technical processes, or storing materials. Thermal processes can be carried out in a specially configured room. No matter what stage your startup is in, the Startup Center offers not only suitable facilities but also a comprehensive range of support services. Not only do you have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other founders and young entrepreneurs and learn from one another, but there are also startup experts on-site to provide specialized support—and you can reach out to them at any time. Whether you’re developing an innovative business idea, drafting a business plan, securing funding through public grants, or finding suitable partners—the advisory teams at Clausthal University of Technology and WiReGo provide you with expert, free advice and guidance, whether on a one-time basis or over the long term, for all questions related to starting a business. In addition to individual
counseling, there will also be regular workshops, networking events, and competitions.
Optimal conditions at affordable rental rates
You’ll be able to rent space at the startup center at an affordable rate starting in mid-2022. The facilities are equipped with all the necessary infrastructure. For food preparation, you can use one of the fully equipped kitchens. As a tenant, you can also make use of the two modern event rooms, including a catering service, at an affordable rate when hosting meetings or events. How the Idea Came About
The construction of the startup center is intended to improve the startup environment in the Goslar economic region and contribute to a visible, stimulating, and motivating startup culture. This initiative is funded by a grant from Clausthal University of Technology through the BMWi’s “EXIST-Potentiale” funding program, as well as by funds from the Goslar district. The construction of the startup center, in turn, was supported by a substantial grant from NBank, with the remaining portion of the funding provided by the Goslar district and the mining and university town of Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
